The WCC is pleased to announce the AmeriCorps Field Leaders and Crew Leaders for the 2025 season! The leaders began work in January by participating in a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course and starting our Leadership in Natural Resource Conservation class that runs all Spring. Alongside the course, the leaders will prepare for the summer work season by working to get their S-212 Chainsaw Certification and by participating in various hands-on field training opportunities. Stay posted to see what the leaders are up to this Spring with their various volunteer opportunities in the Laramie community!

Field Leaders

Achilles Hennessey

My name is Achilles Hennessy. I was born in San Diego to a military family, so I moved around before finally settling in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I am a student at the University of Wyoming in my 2nd year studying Environment & Natural Resources and Organizational Leadership, as well as minors in Music and Honors. This is my 3rd consecutive season with WCC, and I am hoping that the field leader experience will beneficially augment my college experience and career path. When I’m not serving the corps or going to class, you can find me taking pictures, failing to catch fish, or chilling in the Saratoga Hot Springs!

Joshua Johnson

My name is Joshua Johnson and this will be my third season with the Wyoming Conservation Corps. I was living in Georgia when I decided to come here to Laramie and spend a summer as a crew member in 2023. I liked it so much that I decided to come back the next season as a crew leader and I now call Laramie my home. I’ve always liked being outdoors but the time I’ve spent with the Wyoming Conservation Corps has completely changed how I look at it, and has turned it from simply liking it to loving it, and I hope to use my experience to pay it forward and hopefully make this summer an amazing experience for everyone else as well.

Kyle Ridenour

I’m Kyle Ridenour. I am a Field Leader in my second season with the WCC. Last year I was a crew lead for the Veterans Trail Crew, and have  worked for various public land management groups over the last 8 years.

Autumn Pryor

My name is Autumn Pryor and I am from Cheyenne, WY. I am going to School at the University of WY studying Biology. This is my second year working with WCC, and I am so excited to continue working in the outdoors! I love doing anything crafty and doing a variety of activities outdoors with my sister. I am so excited to be leading a crew and be able to give everyone the amazing experience and relationships I did last year!

Grace Pieper

Hello! My name is Grace Pieper. I am a sophomore at the University of Wyoming studying Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Management and Environment and Natural Resources, with a minor in Sculpture. Growing up in rural Casper, Wyoming, and spending my childhood kayaking on the North Platte River, I developed a deep passion for conserving natural environments. I enjoy creating art, going to the gym, playing cards, anything outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. Last year, as a crew member, we formed a close-knit family, and I am eager to lead and create another amazing team this summer. I look forward to meeting everyone and making a positive impact together!

Nathan Anibale

My name is Nathan Anibale. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. I am a first-year student at the University of Wyoming studying Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Management. I’ve lived in parks my whole life and spent a lot of my youth backpacking and hiking with my dad. I am working with the Wyoming Conservation Corps this summer to help develop my leadership skills and contribute to the outdoor conservation efforts so that more people can experience great outdoor recreation in the future. I’m excited to see what this summer brings!

Rison Lain

I’m Rison Lain, I was a member of the Wyoming Conservation Corps during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. I’m excited to return as a crew leader and continue to serve my state and country. My favorite outdoor activities are rafting, hiking, backpacking, and camping. Outside of conservation, I love literature, theater, and film. I love to work on collaborative projects, and I’m looking forward to taking on a leadership role.
