April 22, Laramie WY – Yet another successful Earth Day on University of Wyoming’s campus.  We moved our tiny workshop into the middle of Simpson’s Plaza and loaded up Laramie’s glass recycling from 11-2pm, collecting over 20 standard sized recycling bins in just 2 hours. Next week, our leaders will drive the trailers full of glass down to a glass recycling center in Colorado.

A special thanks to Brooks Webb from the City of Laramie for allowing us to use the city’s sanctioned recycling bins. Thanks to Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (thanks to the two AmeriCorps members that came out to work with us!!)  ASUW, UW Sustainability Committee, UW Sustainability Club, UW ENR Club, UW Agricultural Extension, Pedal House, and the band – Dauphin.

These coming weeks, our leaders are transitioning from Laramie-based service to field work all over the state. Look out for future blog posts about where we will be working and the reports thereof.
